Boosting North East businesses with UK Land Estates
Since working on an extension and refurbishment project on the Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate, STP Construction have forged a long lasting and successful relationship with the largest owner of commercial development land in the North East of England – UK Land Estates.
Founded in 1989, this regional property investor owns 13 million sqft of commercial property and 28 renowned industrial estates including the Teesside Estate, Tyne Tunnel Industrial Estate and Team Valley Trading Estate, all situated in prime locations close to major transport links.
The Team Valley Trading Estate, in a prime location adjacent to the A1 in Gateshead, is home to over 700 businesses and offers a variety of commercial space suitable for businesses of all shapes and sizes.
Having undertaken over 20 projects for UK Land Estates, we have played a significant role in adapting existing premises and creating bespoke new builds to match the requirements of budding businesses seeking industrial, commercial, retail and office space across the North East region.
Now, in July 2022, our latest UK Land Estates project has finally been completed. Taking place on the Eighth Avenue of the Team Valley Trading Estate we constructed a £3.5 million, high spec new build industrial unit in order to accommodate the estate’s growth and expansion.
Having undertaken over 20 projects for UK Land Estates, we have played a significant role in adapting existing premises and creating bespoke new builds to match the requirements of budding businesses seeking industrial, commercial, retail and office space across the North East region.
For this particular project, we designed and built a 41,000 sq ft steel frame clad unit. As Principal Contractor we managed all elements of the build from site scrape, civil engineering, substructure, superstructure and drainage to fitting out the new build with offices, toilets and communal areas.
We also completed external paving, built bin stores and installed cycle shelters and EV and PV charging stations for the employees.
