#NAW24: National Apprenticeship Week 2024

09th February 2024

The 17th annual National Apprenticeship Week is a week-long celebration that raises the profile of apprenticeships and shines the spotlight on the benefits of apprenticeships for individuals and businesses across the UK.

Many of the UK’s leading construction organisations are looking for apprentices to help them address the skills gap within the industry.

At STP, we believe in investing in the future through apprenticeships and nurturing the next generation of construction specialists. We have consistently hired apprentices over the years to help support company growth and build a skilled workforce.

In 2021, we hired Karl Danielson as a Groundworks apprentice. During his apprenticeship, Karl has worked alongside our Groundworker to prepare sites so that our construction projects can commence, clearing the site, digging trenches for foundations, setting up sites, laying pavements, kerbs and driveways as well as concreting.

Karl has passed his Level 2 NVQ and is currently working on an exciting project based in Glasgow. He has successfully passed roller & dumper training and hopes to progress onto small 360 excavator training in 2024.

Karl is an asset to the STP team and we are looking forward to supporting him in developing new skills this year and working on an array of diverse construction projects nationwide.
