Stanley project update

Back in July, we were awarded the contract to begin work on the extension and complete refurbishment of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints, a house of worship based in Stanley, County Durham.

The project is valued at around £2 million and is due to be completed by summer 2024.

As part of the improvements, the team will be adding interior mezzanines, conducting a full re-roofing, installing new heating systems and toilets, and adding an extension to the historic structure.

For many people in the Stanley community, the church is an important part of the town’s history that has played a significant role in its heritage. With this new expansion, the church will be able to welcome more members of the community to use its services and have the facilities to cater for larger groups of people.

The project was established with the intention of increasing attendance at the church, attracting new people to the building and bringing the Stanley community closer together.
